Welcome to our site for The Hampshire Wedding Fair 2010.

The event takes place on Saturday April 17th 2010 from 1100hrs – 1600hrs.

Be one of the first 100 to arrive to be welcomed with a chilled glass of bubbly. We have a large selection of the South’s finest exhibitors for you to visit, to be found in the Paterson Centre as well as a stunning 100′ fully lined marquee.

Make up and bridal hair demonstrations will be available throughout the day. Listen for the peal of the church bells announcing the start of the Fashion Show at 12.30. The beautiful Bridal Gowns and Mother of the Bride outfits will be showcased down the aisle of this 19th century village church. For those ever patient grooms to be, why not try your hand at the outdoor games, or have a bap from the hog roast and sample a drink from the outside bar.

We have a wide range of exhibitors to offer you services for your special day. While making your decisions why not have a welcome cup of tea and perhaps a piece of home made cake?

Once again we have offers on the day. A hog roast and outside bar will be available with a Fashion Show at 12.30. Samples of real ale will be served by a local brewery, so why not come and enjoy the day at this unusual venue, over looking The Solent at the side of HMS Alliance, a Second World War Submarine.

It was another terrific day on Saturday with over 300 visitors looking at over 55 exhibitors! There were many favourable comments from the feedback forms – this one is typical:

For those of you who missed The Hampshire Wedding Fair in Swanmore, it will be going to the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport on May 10th 2009 from 11.00 -4.00 Although smaller than the Swanmore show, we have a wide variety of exhibitors in this unusual and historic venue. While taking in the beautiful view you can enjoy the hog roast, and imagine how your wedding could look from the John Fieldhouse Building, an ideal venue for an unusual day. With just under a week to go, the final touches are being placed on our biggest Wedding Fair ever, with over 50 exhibitors and 60 services waiting to help you make your special day magical!

So if you haven’t done so already, make a note in your diary for 11am on Saturday 18 April and make a day of it, taking in the Fashion Show at 12:30 and the Make-up demonstration at 14:00. And don’t forget that if you are one of the first 100 to arrive, you can enjoy a glass of bubbly on us!

Hundreds are expected to visit St Barnabas Church in Swanmore for the Hampshire Wedding Fair on April 18th between 11:00 and 16:00. Now in its third year, we are proud to announce we are sponsored by The Marriott, Meon Valley Hotel & Country Club.

This is one of Hampshire’s larger wedding fairs, with at least 50 exhibitors expected. The exhibits will be housed in this traditional 19th Century village church, as well as in the affiliated buildings and surrounding grounds, in which will stand a fully lined marquee.

Plans are underway for The Hampshire Wedding Fair 2009, to be held on Saturday April 18th. You will be able to visit the photograph gallery from the last 2 years to get a taste of the event. We hope to see you there where you will be able to absorb yourself in the friendly atmosphere and spend a little time taking in the opportunities available to you. Relax to the sound of Live Jazz, and perhaps savour a delightful bap from the hog roast with the added luxury of being able to enjoy a drink from the outside bar. Once again we will be holding our fashion show, proceeded by peels of church bells, all set in the beautiful church and staged down the aisle.

A big “Thank You” to our exhibitors, visitors and Swanmore Parishioners who all helped make this year’s Hampshire Wedding Fair the best yet!

In spite of the uncertain weather, we welcomed more than 250 guests to visit over 50 stands. The fashion show was a great success and we are sure that couples planning their wedding will have found many suppliers to make their special day extra special. From Photographers to Fireworks, Beauticians to Bridal Wear, Catering to Chocolaterie, we had lots to offer!

(There were two sour notes to the day. A non-exhibiting company parked their van nearby and may have caused confusion to our visitors. For the avoidance of doubt, our delicious hog roast was provided by Go The Whole Hog of Botley.

The second was that a Waterlooville/Denmead based company fly posted visitors’ cars in the car park. Fortunately the fliers were spotted and removed almost immediately, but if any visitor feels their car has been damaged in any way, please contact us and we will be pleased to pass on the details. As for the company, judging by their flier, it isn’t anyone we would recommend or endorse)
